Silverfish usually enter homes through shake shingle roofs and camp out in the attics. They are nocturnal so you’ll mostly only see them at night in damp places like bathrooms, or near the ceiling if they are coming from the attic. They thrive in heat and will lay eggs in cracks and crevices when the temperatures are right.
While they don’t bite or spread disease, they can destroy fine fabrics and paper. They also attract other pests like brown recluse spiders.
To help keep the activity at bay…
On top of a general spray on the interior and exterior, an attic treatment may be recommended to control silverfish.
To help prevent future silverfish issues, we offer ongoing protection plans. Our Silver and Gold Plans include continued monitoring and treatment to keep infestations under control. We’ll also share tips on maintaining an silverfish-free environment and keeping your pets safe.
